Burberry London for Women

In my humble opinion, Burberry London for women is simply delish and very hypnotic. This complex fragrance matches the sophisticated urban style of Burberry's fashion – trendy, gorgeous and very affluent

Launched in 2006, this elegant floral has hints of tangerine, rose and honeysuckle. Its middle notes are a blend of jasmine, Tahitian flower and peony. Finally, its lasting scents or base notes are sandalwood, musk and patchouli.

It is housed in a fashionable rectangular glass bottle, which is sleek and very modern and is adorned with Burberry's signature cloth.

I highly recommend Burberry London for women who love fashionable and sophisticated fragrances. It is sold at fine shops, department stores and websites.

Why You Should Know What Fragrance Category Your Perfume Is From
By : Gregg Hall

When thinking of your favorite fragrances, have you ever wondered exactly how they are categorized? Tradition states that every fragrance belongs to one specific group or family. Even though they have different names, there are six basic categories of perfumes. The categories are:

Sweet or Floral
Clean or Sporty
Natural or Green
Oils and Musks
Woody and Chypre
Spicy and Oriental

Many people often find and stick with one specific fragrance, but others like to mix it up and base the fragrance they wear on the mood they are in that day, some even change it with the current season. Furthermore, age often is found to greatly affect the choice of fragrance. As a woman ages, the choice of fragrance matures at the same time.

Let us talk a little about the different families of fragrances. The sweet or floral family is perhaps the most popular of them all and is derived from a variety of flowers. These types are generally view as youthful and are worn by young women or women who are playful. Some examples of fragrances within this family are Curious, Chanel no 22, Joy, Pleasures, Safari for Women, and L'Air Du Temps.

In the clean and sporty family, this is generally the reminder of a smell when you first leave the shower and generally smells comparable to soap. Typically, these make perfect gifts for those that are athletic in nature. Some examples of this type include, Alliage, Cashmere Mist, Polo for Women, Lily Chic, and Tommy Girl.

The fragrance of natural or green is a down to earth and fresh type of scent, perfect for those who like to feel natural and real. A few examples include Escape for Women, London, Chanel No.5, Truth for Women, Poison, and White Diamonds.

Oils and musks are suggestive, sexy, and strong scents. Generally used when a person wants to communicate certain things to their lover. It is deemed the most powerful among oil perfumes. Some examples are Sun, Moon, and Stars, O Oui, Caleche, Shalimar, and L'Aminant.

In the chypre and woody family, it is generally compared to earthy things. It combines scents of earth and floral perfect for those that love being in nature and the outdoors. Some examples include Miss Doir, Envy, Chanel No. 19, and Romance.

Finally, in the family of spicy and oriental, this mixes the scents of vanilla, animals, woods, and flowers together. It is very exotic and enjoyed most by women who is bold, strong, and radiant. Some examples include, Youth Dew, Obsession, Organza, Opium, and Still.

Gucci, Wine & Sauce -- My Little Digression

I know, I know, I know I suppose to only do reviews about fragrances. But, I decided to digress for a minute and tell you all about some things that I recently discovered. And, one of those things is a fragrance, so I guess one of the three posts below are okay. Well, here are my discoveries.

Gucci

Discovering Gucci's Pour Homme

We all know that Gucci symbolizes superior design, sophistication and great style to the world. Gucci's Pour Homme has met this expectation. It is a complex spicy fragrance, and the shape of it's glass bottle with a metal cap is classically modern -- very sleek. I highly recommend this cologne to all men who need and desire high design. You can find it at fine department stores, perfumeries, and online fragrance shops.

Here is the official description of this fab fragrance:

Gucci Pour Homme is a timeless, classic and modern fragrance. The top notes are white pepper, ginger and pink bay, and the middle notes consist of papyrus wood and orris rhizome. The base notes are amber, leather, vetiver and olibanum. -- ljpsearch.com

Wine

Discovering Chenin Blanc from Wilson Vineyards

I highly recommend Wilson Vineyards' Chenin Blanc. It is delicious and very affordable. It retails at $9.99. You can purchase it directly from Wilson Farms or from fine grocery stores in the Sacramento area.

Here is the official description of this great wine:

This wine is light golden in color. The nose offers perfumed tropical fruits including pineapple, passion fruit and mandarin. On the palate is a balance of crisp citrus and pineapple with a trace of apricot and peach flavors. -- Wilson Vineyards

Sauce

Discovering a recipe for homemade Alfredo Sauce

I couldn't believe my eyes! I found a recipe for homemade Alfredo sauce, and I was looking for one for a long time. It was on the package of American Beauty's Fettuccine. Well, here's the recipe.

Classic Alfredo

Makes 3 servings

2/3 cup butter or margarine

1-1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

1-1/2 cups whipping cream

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; gradually stir in cheese then cream until well blended. Continue heating sauce, stirring constantly, just to boiling point. Remove from heat; stir parsley. Add sauce to hot cooked pasta; toss lightly. It can also be poured over chicken, fish, shellfish or vegetables.
