About a week ago, a reader sent me an email about a London perfumer that he recently discovered. This perfumer is Ormonde Jayne, which was founded by Linda J. Pilkington. According to this fragrance maker's web site, Ormonde Jayne's philosophy is "one of quality and true luxury, the pursuit of beauty and elegance. [The company's] perfume library reposes on an exquisitely simple principle - extraordinarily beautiful scents using specialty oils not widely used in the perfume industry today." Ormonde Jayne creates fragrances for men and women and also makes body and bath products and home fragrances. In addition, it has a great sampler program.
