Museum Fragrance -- FYI

According to Luxist.com, the Oceanside Museum of Art in Oceanside, CA will show a display that will tantalize the sense of smell. Entitled "Institutional Wellbeing: An olfactory plan for the Oceanside Museum of Art," this art installation will be available for viewing from March 29 – August 9, 2009 . It was designed by Brian Goeltzenleuchter, a conceptional artist. According to the Museum's website, it "explores the perception of fragrance as an art media for interior environments. It playfully exploits the language of corporate aesthetics as well as new age healing to create and brand a scent for the museum using the latest in scent engineering technology." Luxist.com further mentions that the end result of this exhibit "is a scent named OMA which is meant to capture the olfactory experience of Oceanside Museum of Art." It will sell for $20.
